Bad-ass Birthday!

Well, it was my "Golden Birthday" today... I turned 27 on the 27th of October. I feel old. I was already getting tired at around 8 pm, and had Jack decided on going to sleep right then I would have been totally down with going to bed that early. But he didn't, so here I am still up at 12:30am. Oh well, it's nice to have some time to unwind before bed, right?

J.R. went out to the field today, and usually he would be back in town tomorrow afternoon, but because of this disgusting snow he will more than likely be stuck out there until at least Thursday. Since we knew he was going to be gone for my b-day, he took me out to dinner last night to Texas Roadhouse (my new fave place). I had a delicious meal and a fab time with my little family. Baby Jack is such a bad-ass... we can pretty much go anywhere with him and he just chills. He's so awesome! J.R. got me a new comforter for the bed which I've wanted for a while, and to my surprise I found a card and a bouquet of flowers from him on the counter when I woke up. He is a bad-ass too!

Since the "storm of the century" (not really) was rolling in, Jack and I needed to go to the store and get some groceries just in case we get stranded (my mom's idea, not mine.... I would have had only Cream of Chicken soup to eat for the next 4 days had she not reminded me). While I was at the store, I decided that I hated my hair and I needed to dye it right away, so I did... and I am actually pleased with the way it turned out. I tried to cut my own bangs a few months back with disasterous results. They were all over the place, and I looked like a total retard. When I went to get them fixed, my hair dresser Jodi couldn't even look me in the face. "Never do this again..." she said. The difference is that I have dyed my own hair before and it's really not that hard. So there! Question though... does anyone know how to get brown hair dye out of carpet? Because I sure don't.

Look! I'm a brunette now! And I need to go tanning really bad!

  1. Texas Roadhouse IS freakin' awesome. We have one here in the SG now and pretty much frequent it monthly. What a sweet husband you have to buy you flowers! That's great. And I pretty much love your hair (I've always been a much bigger fan of dark hair than blonde hair-good job!). As for your stain, try this: http://www.ehow.com/how_18790_clean-hair-dye.html
