Gentle Giants, Riberty, and Grumps

It's been a while since my last post! A lot has been going on here... Jack is growing like a weed! He was weighed the other day and he is now a hefty and healthy 12 pounds 1 ounce... and if you're keeping track that means he has doubled since he was born! He's a giant! I am pretty sure I pulled something in my back the other day when I was carrying him in his carseat. My sister in law informed me yesterday that her 15 month old weighs a mere 20 pounds... she also told me that she thinks they will be the same size at Christmas. She may be right... Ay carumba!

The Gentle Giant Jim - 10 weeks old
We made a quick trip home to the 801 a few weeks back. We didn't tell anyone that we were coming and it was fun seeing their faces when we showed up. We went and saw the flags for 9/11 behind the Sandy Target, which was really cool. It reminded me of when I was 8 1/2 months preggo, and I went to get a pedicure... when I told the Vietnamese man who was filing my toenails that my due date was the 4th of July, he exclaimed, "Ahhhh! Riberty!"

Riberty Indeed!

We discovered a small lump on Gus' nose a few weeks ago, prompting J.R. to nickname him "Wart". We have to get it removed, not only because it could be cancerous, but also because it's disgusting. It keeps growing and then popping, and then growing and popping... So that's $200 we'll never see again, but we know it's worth it.

Well, J.R. has just informed me that my constant typing and the light of the computer is keeping him awake, so I guess that's all for now. More updates later!

  1. I'm pretty much stoked that you have a blog now. Jack's adorable and "Riberty" made me laugh OUT LOUD (my poor bunny didn't know what to do with herself). And hey, feel free to check our blog if you feel so inclined! We don't have cute babies to look at, but sometimes I post cool stuff! :)
