My favorite thing about being a mom so far is watching Jack learn and grow. It seems like he's doing new things every day. The other day he was sitting in his swing cooing away, something he hadn't done before. He's holding his head up pretty steady now, and his new fave thing to do is to pull his little hand to his mouth and suck on it. About a week ago he started tracking moving objects with his eyes, like the moving fish mobile on his swing, and Marge when she was walking by. He loves his daddy, and when J.R. gets home from work, Jack is all smiles. Jack's little newborn clothes and diapers are getting a little tight these days, which makes me a little sad. He's starting to put some meat on his bones, including a double chin and chub legs. I guess I shouldn't be surprised... he eats like a pig! I weighed him the other day and he was 9 1/4 pounds! He's HUGE!

J.R. and I took some pics of Jack when he was about 2 weeks old... They turned out pretty good I think. He hated being naked though. He cried and cried at first, so it took us a while to get some usable shots.

Well, so far so good... He is such an awesome baby! I can't believe we got so lucky! It makes me want to have another one. I loved being pregnant, and now that Jack has been such an easy baby, it makes me think I could have a million kids. I could be like that 18 kids and counting lady, only not as nerdy or lame...
